- Established in 1919 as a branch school of 佐賀 Prefectural 佐賀 Middle School, it became independent the following year in 1920. Due to the educational system reforms of 1948, it became the current new-system high school.

Let's Kendo reports that they have a player who has appeared in both the spring and summer tournaments and placed 3rd in the individual event at the Kyushu tournament. The men's individual is 最所溜偉(さいしょ るい) and the women's individual is 片地枇愛.
