- Established in 1919 as a branch school of 佐賀 Prefectural 佐賀 Middle School, it became independent the following year in 1920. Due to the educational system reforms of 1948, it became the current new-system high school.

Let's Kendo reports that they have a player who has appeared in both the spring and summer tournaments and placed 3rd in the individual event at the Kyushu tournament.
